WEDDING BARTENDER TIPS
Wedding Tips From The Pro Himself!
Hiring a wedding bartender and purchasing your own alcohol for your reception is a great way to stretch those wedding dollars. Many venues require you to purchase their alcohol which can cost thousands of dollars for an open bar and be one of your biggest expenses. Why not give your guests and yourself more for less? Find venues that allow you to provide your own alcohol and hire a bartender. Purchasing your alcohol at liquor store pricing and being able to return the leftovers will have a huge effect on your budget. Visit some of our preferred wedding venues.
A bartending service will not only save you money, it will allow you to get creative and add your special touch to the reception. How about a lavender infused lemonade after the ceremony. We can work with you to create a specialty drink that goes with your wedding theme.
I have worked many weddings and I am excited to help you with yours.

WEDDING VENUE TIPS AND TRICKS
1. Choose venue that lets you bring your own alcohol.
2. Hire a bartending service- you would not trust your DJ to cater the food so make sure you have a bartender that can “make” drinks and not just somebody standing behind the bar pouring drinks.
3. Make sure your wedding bartenders are liquor liability insured and TABC certified.
4. Wine and beer vs. full bar- If you cant afford to offer a full bar, try to come up with one or two special drinks to accompany your wine and beer. You will still make the cocktail drinkers happy but you will only have to purchase one or two kinds of liquors, saving you money.
5. Don’t forget the recycle or make sure your venue offers recycling. People do notice if you are not recycling.

Tips on throwing a great Party:
1. First estimate the number of guests that will be coming to your party and purchase food and beverages accordingly. Running out of alcohol can stop a great party in its tracks and over purchasing can cost you hundreds of extra dollars.
2. Get a sense of your guests' tastes and preferences. Fancy martinis, whiskey drinks wine and beer are preferred by
different types of people. Who's coming to your party?
3. Don't be afraid to offer guests a new and exciting drink, it could be the hit of the party!
4. You can never have enough ice.
BUYING AND PURCHASING ALCOHOL
One of the first questions every client asks is how much alcohol should I purchase for a party?
The first step in figuring out how much alcohol to purchase is estimating how many people will be coming to your party.
Once you determine how many guests, ask yourself a couple of questions.
* What type of drinks would my guests prefer? (beer, wine, liquor)
*Should we provide a limited menu of specialty drinks or a full bar?
A limited menu of 2 – 4 specialty drinks can be offered to guests. This can help keep the cost of your party down as you will only need to purchase the alcohol, mixers and garnishes in those specific drinks.
Here's an example of a five drink menu put together with a client for a Wedding Reception.
The five drinks offered were a Moscow Mule, Bay Breeze, French 75, Old Fashion & Whisky Sour.
Next, take the number of guests expected to attend and multiply by the estimated number of drinks consumed per person.
Example, 150 people at your party and three drinks per person equals 450 total drinks.
Next, take the number of guests expected to attend.
Example, * 30 people at your party and three drinks per person equals 90 total drinks.
At a dinner party or cocktail party you can expect guests to consume around two to three drinks per person.
At an evening party each guest may consume three to four drinks per person. The amount of drinks consumed depends on the time of day, the event, the type of function and how wild your friends are.
Next, take an inventory of what alcohol you currently have.
For the alcohol that you need, here's a guide to estimate.
LIQUOR:
* 750ML bottle of liquor will yield 16 drinks w 1.5oz alcohol
* One liter bottle will get you 22 drinks w 1.5oz alcohol
* 1.75 ML bottle will get you 50 drinks w 1.5oz a alcohol
CHAMPAGNE or WINE:
* 750ML bottle of wine or champagne will yield 4 glasses.
* One liter bottle of wine will get you 6 servings.
* ICE is an average of 1lb per person for drinks and 1lb per person for beer, wine and N/A drinks
